Golden State Sports has agreed to sponsor the local paintball team Golden State Pirates for the 2010 tournament season. The Golden State Pirates will be representing Golden State Sports on the local and regional level.

With such a young and talented group of dedicated players gathering, Tom Dufon and his son Cody decided to create a new style club team where players of all divisions are welcome to compete. Some of the players on the team even work at Golden State Sports.

Thru personal friendships and the talent pool they had gathered, Rusty Glaze and Todd Martinez agreed to support the team for the 2010 tournament season. Sponsorship will include opportunities for both The GS Pirates team and Golden State Sports Shops to be successful in the 2010 season.

Todd and Rusty will also be supporting the team with coaching and private paintball lessons throughout the 2010 season. We are looking forward to a strong and positive season for the Golden State Pirates. You will see them competing in paintball tournaments locally in the RPL events and the WCPPL events. Next year they will attend more national level events. The team is focused on building a positive group of talent that is a role model to other players who are interested in competing in tournament paintball.
