A little history about me...

How/when did you first get into paintball? I first got into paintball when I was 9. My dad stumbled into a field and took my family to go play paintball. I loved it! I didnt play much paintball until I turned 12, when I got my first autococker paintball gun and started playing paintball more consistently.

What was the name of your first paintball team? Horror Show Paintball

What was the first paintball marker you shot? Tippman prolite

How did you make it to the Pros? I worked through the tournament paintball divisions one at a time. No cool, instant pro paintball story. I played my first national paintball event in 2002 and practiced every chance I had. I moved up the divisions one at a time until I got my chance to go pro.

Who has influenced you the most in paintball? It is a toss-up. My Dad has been the biggest support I could have asked for. He helped me train, kept my head right, and went above and beyond to make sure I was able to have any and all opportunities to play paintball. On the other-side, I owe my interest and skill to Dave Adams and Bill Landry. Dave really brought me up in the sport of paintball and gave me a shot. Bill brought me to the nationals and put me in the light of the pro paintball teams. I love them all for it.

About Me Now...

What are you best known for doing on the paintball field? On the paintball field, I usually play the dorito side of the field. Its not a technical skill, but its the area that I progressed the fastest. I'm constantly trying to improve my paintball abilities, so one of these days Ill be more known for certain techniques.

And off the paintball field? Off the paintball field, for being the nice guy. Everyone always tells me Im too niceIve been working on that too.

What paintball marker do you use now? I use an Empire AXE

If your paintball teammates had only one word to describe you, what would it be? Ginger

What are your pre-game rituals? I always have a Three Days Grace or Eminem song as motivation, but before every point, I always tighten my barrel, goggles, and headbands.over..and over. Then I give a loud bark to get the blood flowing and let the enemy know I'm coming.

Do you have any superstitions? Tons! I hate to admit it, but when something works for me, I figure I shouldn't try to change it.

Name at least one paintball item you couldnt win without. My headbands. I don't feel right without them.

We talkin bout practice...

How often do you practice paintball between events? Two days, every weekend. More if I can find the opportunity.

What are key paintball drills you recommend to those needing to excel their skills? 3 vs. 3, situational drills - The drill forces you to communicate, be aggressive, gun battle, and allows you to learn a field layout very quickly.

Running and Shooting the more accurate you become, the more confident you are that you can make your spot, and the more likely you will make your spot.

What is the key to keeping a paintball team together or to building a successful paintball team? Communication. As long as everyone on the paintball team has an understanding of what is expected of them, what the teams plans are for the coming weeks for practices/events, and there is open communication between players to avoid clicks, the team can be successful.

Back to the future...

What does the future of paintball have in store for you? I honestly don't know. I plan to play paintball until my body cant handle the abuse anymore or the sport seizes to exist. In the mean time, I hope the sport is able to take me to new places, allow me to become as good of a player as I hope to be, and eventually allow me to gain experience for my future occupation as a nutritionist.

Where would you like to see paintball elevate to in the next 3 years?  I would like to see paintball become a recognized sport. I don't need to be rich and famous. I don't need to get the rock-star treatment. I just dont want to explain the fact that professional paintball does exist to everyone that crosses my path.

How can fans learn more about you, your team and possible clinics? LIKE team Infamous on facebook www.facebook.com/LAinfamous

Any final words of paintball advice to up-and-comers? We all joke about how trying to look cool in paintball makes you better, and we all talk about doing drills to improve your game, but it comes down to hard work to become better. You don't have to eat, sleep and breathe paintball, but when its time to work, you have to work.on and off the field. The more you put into it, the more you get out of it.
